Are Your Doors Propped Open?

When it comes to deploying a card access control system, one of the main functions is to secure specific entrances and to only allow certain authorized users to enter.  One of the quickest ways to defeat the security provided by an access control system is for someone to prop a door open.

So, what is the best way to keep your doors secured?

The access control systems we deploy have built-in door prop alarm functionality.  The Honeywell access control systems we recommend will automatically sound an alarm after a set period of time when a door is propped open.  When we deploy door prop alarms as part of an access control system, we install a sounder above each access door and then program the system to sound the alarm if a door is held open for too long.

This is a simple addition to a system and it can really make a difference to the security of your facility.
